 A lost hiker. A clandestine drug trade. A ticking timepiece. Additionally, a very angry Detective Inspector! 

 When an elderly hiker goes missing, DCI Frank Finnegan gives his smartest officer, Detective Inspector Prisha Kumar, the assignment. What appears to be a missing persons case at first quickly turns into something much more puzzling and suspicious. 

 

 DS Zac Stoker is currently engaged in an undercover operation to thwart the importation of illegal drugs by sea. He is meant to be a backup. Helping a bad cop from Police Scotland is yet another pair of eyes and ears. But he soon finds himself caught up in a risky cat and mouse game.
